Strawberry Lemonade

This variation on lemonade is fun to serve at family outings or for a children’s lemonade stand.

Ingredients

3 cups strawberries

Strawberry Lemonade1/4 cup water

1 cup powdered steevia

1 cup lemon juice

3 cups sparkling water

ice cubes

Heat strawberries, water and Steevia in a large pan and bring to a boil .

Cook for 5 minutes and strain the contents into a pitcher. Cool.

Add lemon juice, sparkling water and ice cubes.

Serve immediately.

Berry Shake

We all love smoothies in the morning. This version of a smoothie very thick and is closer to a shake.  The coconut yogurt and fruit inside are a delicious combination.

Ingredients

2 cups unsweetened vanilla coconut yogurt

1 1/2 cups chopped strawberriesBerry Shake

1 cup frozen blueberries

1/4 cup Stevia

1/4 cup flax meal

1/8 cup chia seeds

Mix in blender until smooth.  Mixture should be very thick.  It can be made  thinner by adding 1/2 cup almond milk

Cranberry Iced Tea

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1/8 tsp cloves

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp ginger

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Boil for 5 minutes

Add 2 cups cranberries

Cook until skins begin to split and pop.

Add 1/4 cup orange juice.  Remove from heat and pulse in blender being careful to ensure lid is firmly closed on the blender container.

Pour from blender into a jug.

Brew tea as normal.  Pour into a glass and add cranberry mixture to taste.  Mix and top with ice.

Peach Lemonade

4 peaches peeled and sliced

Peach Lemonade

1/2 cup stevia

1/2 cup lemon juice

pinch salt

4 cups fizzy water

Puree peach slices with stevia and lemon juice in blender.  Mix with ice and fizzy water.  Serve immediately.

For a sweeter drink add 1/4 cup more of stevia to puree.

 

Watermelon Fizz

3 cups cubed watermelon

1 cup raspberries or blueberries (fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup orange juice

1/2 cup stevia (measure to taste)

club soda or sparkling water.

Mix first four ingredients in a blender until processed to a liquid.  Refrigerate until ready to drink.

Pour 1/3 cup into a glass and fill with club soda.   Enjoy.
